HVAC Mid-Level Technician Experience: 2-4 years
Job Description
Tempo Mechanical Services is currently seeking an experienced 2-4 year level Technician in the residential and light commercial service. Position has significant client interaction,
timelines, and challenging projects. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work in a professional customer oriented environment as a team member. Must be
willing to exceed customer expectations. This is not an entry level position.
Experience
Extensive hands on HVAC experience. Must have their own basic and diagnostic tools and possess excellent electrical and control wiring skills. Candidate must have an excellent
understanding of the refrigeration circuit and the ability to diagnose and repair refrigerant problems. Candidate should have experience with diagnostics of ECM motors
and residential split systems. Candidate should have Universal EPA certification along with NATE certification, or the ability to become NATE certified after hired.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

AOR Technician
Job Description
Perform installation work for HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles/registers/diffusers, controls, and related equipment. Complete approved repairs/improvements
in a timely manner including collect any payments as needed.
Hours & Working Conditions
- Average 40 hours per week
- Some overtime/weekend work as required
- May work outside, in
crawlspaces, and attics
- Some lifting and physical exertion required
- Brazing, soldering, and welding required
- Work with sheet metal and sharp objects
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review the next day(s) scheduled work to verify equipment and material pick list, identify needed corrections, and
to identify and request equipment
- Identify and request any fabricated materials required for installation work on the following day(s)
- Pull/assist in the pulling
of equipment and materials needed for installations
- Follow defined installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment according to company instructions/policy, manufacturer
installation instructions, and salesperson notes
- Identify and solve problems that might prevent the completion of work within budgeted time
- Complete improvements,
installations within budgeted hours, in accordance with company standards, while maintaining quality
- Clean equipment/work area and "dress out" installation
- Start-up
new equipment and verify correct operation
- Start up of high efficiency equipment
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction and sign-off upon completion of work
- Complete
all paperwork required by management and record hours and all materials used
- Collect for work performed if applicable unless other payment arrangement have been made
in advancejobsss
- Return unused material and inventory
- Keep assigned vehicle stocked, organized and clean
- Track vehicle maintenance and alert management
when maintenance is necessary
- Contact the office following the completion of each job, providing requested information regarding the work completed
- Provide
customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, and other comfort improvements
- Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost
improvements
- Other duties as needed
Job Requirements
- EPA certified for R22 and R410A
- Valid drivers license
- Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws
for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
- Ability to follow/perform installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment
- Ability to follow
controls/wiring schematic
- Ability to braze/solder/weld
- Ability to perform minor field fabrication
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Standard
technician tools
- Two or more years of experience as an HVAC/R installation, maintenance, or service technician
- NATE certification preferred or willingness
to work to attain NATE certification
- Neat, clean, professional appearance

Tempo Mechanical/TexEnergy Internship
Tempo Mechanical Services and TexEnergy Solutions have a skills development opportunity for a recent graduate
or person with 1 to 3 years experience. There are a wide ranging set of tasks that require support.
The tasks may include- Research on changing codes,
rules and standards;
- Updating marketing efforts and rewriting web sites
- Tracking legislative changes
- Building case studies on previously completed
work
- Initial planning on the 2011 Texas Green Home Summit
- Building data bases communication to new and existing clients
- Other projects as needed

Requirements- A successful candidate will be bright, energetic and flexible.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are a
must.
- The ability to capture and absorb and utilize large amounts of diverse information in a short time is an absolute requirement.
- Bachelors or
Masters Degree are a significant plus. Equal preference will be shown to all degrees.
This position would have access to all divisions of the company and would
include opportunities to be exposed to a number of business opportunities.
Compensation
Salary would be mutually negotiated based on the individual characteristics and potential for success. This is not a
permanent job offer. This position is expected to last from two to twelve weeks. It is hoped that at completion of a 12 week internship, the candidate and
our company would find a way to make a permanent hiring decision.
