Job Title: Project Manager – Commercial HVAC Construction – Commercial Service Sales

Compensation: Salary, commissions, discretionary incentive. 50K + commission (based on experience)

Hours per Week: 40+

Reports to: Senior Vice President/Sales Manager

Tempo Mechanical is looking to identify one (1) experienced commercial HVAC salesperson/project manager.

Job Description:

  • Sell installation services of HVAC systems to building owners and building managers
  • To a lesser extent sell commercial service agreements and service work to building owners/managers
  • Assist current project management team with existing Tempo commercial accounts
  • Prepare estimates and present proposals to building owners/managers based on those estimates
  • Be responsible for timely collection of account receivable due
  • Be responsible for the correct and timely installation and proper administration of all work sold
  • Act as a liaison with regard to building owner/manager specifications, procedures and policies

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years directly related experience
  • Ability to communicate concisely and accurately with (architects/engineers) at all levels; including field superintendents, sales representatives, purchasing/estimating personnel, building owners/managers and vendors
  • Ability to read and interpret building/mechanical plans and specifications
  • Communicate internally with Tempo support personnel (service department, administration, field supervisory, engineering)
  • Understanding of construction practices, code, principals of HVAC design and installation
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, energy/building science issues as pertaining top commercial construction.
  • Undergraduate degree desirable but not required (in a construction related field a plus)
  • Strong math, organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Programs. PowerPoint proficiency a plus.

Training offered:

  • Depending on the experience level, Tempo is willing to invest in training of a qualified candidate
  • This training to include engineering load calculation, duct design, installation practices (including field work), energy training
  • There is an ongoing minimum of 40 hours per annum training requirement

Compensation package:

  • Salary plus commissions on new work developed after training
  • Discretionary incentives based on individual and company performance
  • Transportation in the form of company vehicle, mileage reimbursement or monthly vehicle allowance
  • Fuel expenses, toll tag
  • Reimbursement of business related expenses
  • Cell phone
